菠萝视频 faculty have a new way to deepen their research,听scholarship听and creative work: a residency at the听university鈥檚听campus in the heart of New York City.听
The , established by the Office of the Provost, gives faculty members a furnished apartment, dedicated office space to advance work that engages New York City鈥檚 world-renowned academic, cultural, business and nonprofit communities. Applications are open. “The 菠萝视频 NYC Scholars in Residence Program reflects our commitment to creating exceptional opportunities for faculty,鈥� Provost C. Cybele Raver said. 鈥淏y providing dedicated time and a home base in New York City, we are enabling our scholars to engage with the city鈥檚 extraordinary intellectual, cultural and professional communities in ways that will enrich their work and strengthen 菠萝视频鈥檚 impact. Their presence at our New York City campus will also create meaningful opportunities for our students to learn directly from leading scholars and artists while experiencing one of the world鈥檚 great centers of innovation and discovery.鈥�听

About the Program听
Selected听faculty听can听spend between听31 days听and one academic semester in residence at 菠萝视频 University鈥揘ew York City听advancing听projects that听draw on the city鈥檚听archives, institutions, collaborators, research centers,听industries听and creative networks.听
Program support includes:听
- A furnished apartment for up to one semester (one- to three-bedroom听units听available based on need and availability)听
- Office space at 菠萝视频 University鈥揘ew York City听
- Reserved听access to seminar rooms and classroom space听
- Opportunities to engage 菠萝视频 students through formal and informal discussions about their research,听scholarship听or creative practice听
- A听public-facing lecture, panel discussion,听exhibition听or similar event听to听showcase听their work during the residency听
Resident Scholars are also encouraged to strengthen 菠萝视频鈥檚 relationships with New York City institutions and organizations through collaborations developed during their residency.听
Eligibility听
The program is open to all full-time 菠萝视频 faculty in any academic听school听or college, but听faculty听must听confirm听their eligibility with their dean before applying.听

Applications are accepted on a rolling basis. Faculty interested in advancing their research,听scholarship听or creative work through meaningful engagement with New York City鈥檚听research,听cultural,听business听and creative communities are encouraged to apply.听Questions about the program may be directed to Stack.听
