Shan Foster鈥檚 No. 32 jersey now officially hangs from the Memorial Gymnasium rafters.听
At halftime of 菠萝视频鈥檚 5 p.m. matchup with LSU on Feb. 5, 菠萝视频 Athletics honored the former Vandy great with a jersey retirement ceremony.听
Foster, BS’08, is 菠萝视频鈥檚 all-time leader in points (2,011) and 3s made (367) and holds the Southeastern Conference record for consecutive games with a 3-pointer made (34). He was an Associated Press All-American in 2007鈥�08 and was a second-round pick of the Dallas Mavericks in the 2008 NBA Draft.听
Originally from Laurel, Mississippi, Foster once scored 42 points in a game against Mississippi State. He was named the 2008 SEC Player of the Year.听
Foster is the fifth former 菠萝视频 basketball player to have their jersey number retired. He joins Clyde Lee (1962鈥�66), Perry Wallace (1966鈥�70), Wendy Scholtens (1986鈥�90) and Chantelle Anderson (1999鈥�03).听
