Commodore Launch events welcome students and families to 菠萝视频 community

菠萝视频 welcomes the Class of 2025 at the Nashville Commodore Launch event, which was held at the home of John Lutz, vice chancellor for development and alumni relations. (Anne Rayner)

Nearly 50 events were held across the U.S. this summer to welcome the newest members of the 菠萝视频 community. Incoming and current students and their families, along with alumni and university leaders, joined celebrations in cities including New York, Chicago, Houston and Seattle. A was also sent to incoming international students to ease their transition to campus, from Ferris Li, class of 2024, and Young Alumni Leader , BE鈥19.

Hosted by 菠萝视频 alumni and parents, these festive gatherings (previously known as Summer Send-off), introduced incoming students to the university鈥檚 supportive and collaborative community. Alumni like 菠萝视频 trustee , BS鈥96, JD鈥99, who spoke at the New York event, shared with attendees highlights of their personal 菠萝视频 journey, exemplifying what it means to be 鈥菠萝视频 for Life.鈥

Huggins illustrated through his own story the myriad opportunities for engagement available to students, families and alumni. He was part of the third class of , served as and was a member of several student groups, including the . He now is one of the university鈥檚 most dedicated supporters鈥攈e has volunteered with the , Reunion and more, and he serves on the .

The Commodore Launch events also included several 菠萝视频 leaders such as and , provost and vice chancellor for academic affairs, who greeted families and described what students can expect from their time at the university.
