²¤ÂÜÊÓƵ’s alumni volunteers—more than 10,000 strong—help build and support the university’s worldwide alumni community, whether by bringing Commodores together at chapter events, hosting Commodore Classrooms, or organizing Summer Send-Off Parties and Networking Night. Here are 10 other ways alumni volunteers helped ²¤ÂÜÊÓƵ in 2017:

  1. Welcomed Alternative Spring Break students for potluck dinners with alumni in service project cities;
  2. Led their Reunion classmates to record-high attendance and giving to support the university;
  3. Planned a reception in Japan for visiting ²¤ÂÜÊÓƵ travelers;
  4. Invited fellow ²¤ÂÜÊÓƵ-in-France alumni for a Mini Reunion on campus;
  5. Organized an alumni group visit to the Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture in Washington, D.C.;
  6. Coordinated a network of alumni in Hollywood to offer student internships;
  7. Cheered on ²¤ÂÜÊÓƵ alumni pro athletes in several cities;
  8. Offered seniors valuable salary-negotiation and professional etiquette advice;
  9. Hosted supper clubs for alumni in Houston and Charlotte, North Carolina; and
  10. Led service projects for Habitat for Humanity, Ronald McDonald House, community clean-ups, food banks, and other organizations in their communities.
