A Colorado appeals court judge will be the new executive director of the Nashville-based starting Jan. 1, the AJS announced.
, judge of the Colorado Court of Appeals, was chosen after a national search, said Martha Hill Jamison, AJS president.
鈥淩ussell Carparelli is a superb choice to lead AJS into its second century,鈥� Jamison said.
The AJA announced an affiliation with in July, including relocating to the 菠萝视频 campus from Des Moines.
Founded in 1913, the AJS is a nonpartisan organization with a national membership of judges, lawyers and other citizens interested in improving the nation鈥檚 courts and the administration of justice. The AJS mission is to secure and promote an independent and qualified judiciary and a fair system of justice.
Judge Carparelli begins work at the AJS Jan. 1, following his retirement from the bench.
