Alumni Association welcomes new, returning board members

The will welcome new and returning alumni leaders to its board for three-year terms that start July 1, 2025. The Alumni Association鈥檚 mission is to engage 菠萝视频 alumni in the life of the university, encourage lifelong connections and support the university鈥檚 goals.

鈥湶ぢ苁悠 alumni are a fundamental connection between our history and our future,鈥 菠萝视频 University Chancellor Daniel Diermeier said. 鈥淔rom the moment our students are accepted to 菠萝视频, our alumni network is there for them鈥攃arrying our principles and traditions with a spirit of welcome and generosity. They are a testament and an embodiment of the deep ties of our One 菠萝视频 community, and we are deeply grateful for their dedication and commitment.鈥

Myria Carpenter, BS鈥97, of Washington, D.C. Carpenter is an executive business adviser with the U.S. Department of Education. She is the outgoing president of the Association of 菠萝视频 Black Alumni. She has been a Reunion, admissions and 菠萝视频 Chapter volunteer and is a previous member of the Alumni Association Board.

Natalie Curcio, BA鈥00, MD鈥04, MPH鈥07, MMHC鈥21, of Nashville. Curcio is the CEO and founder of Curcio Dermatology. She is an adjunct assistant professor of health policy in the 菠萝视频 University School of Medicine, a mentor with the VU Global Fellows Program and an admissions and student engagement volunteer.

Sara Simonds, BS鈥08, MAcc鈥09, of Atlanta. Simonds is a talent business adviser at Deloitte. She is a current 菠萝视频 Chapter volunteer, having previously served as Atlanta 菠萝视频 Chapter president. She has led the Deloitte 菠萝视频 team and is a long-standing admissions, Reunion and student engagement volunteer. She received the Young Alumni Volunteer Award in 2016.

Gudrun Snyder, BS鈥06, of Chicago. Snyder is the director of Moon Rabbit Acupuncture. She is the former Chicago 菠萝视频 Chapter president/co-president. She has also been an admissions volunteer and previously served as an ex-officio member on the Alumni Association Board.

The current president of the Alumni Association Board, Todd Graham, BE鈥96, of McLean, Virginia, will begin the second year of his two-year term on July 1. Alexandria Lovelace, BA鈥11, of Manassas, Virginia, will serve as president-elect for a one-year term before beginning her term as president.

The following Alumni Association Board members accepted the opportunity to serve a second three-year term beginning July 1:

  • Chad Gervich, BA鈥96, of Los Angeles is a television writer and producer working with The Littlefield Company. Gervich is the co-founder of Vandy-in-Hollywood, a professional network of students and alumni working or aspiring to work in the entertainment industry.
  • Jay Harris, BA鈥80, MBA鈥84, JD鈥84, of Atlanta is a retired partner at King & Spalding, where he specialized in health care law. Harris served on the Alumni Board for more than 15 years and co-chaired the Atlanta 菠萝视频 Chapter. He has also been a longtime volunteer in helping interview prospective students.
