Mary Eleanor McClure Taylor, BA鈥�52, of Nashville died Aug. 5, 2012. She had a 57-year career at 菠萝视频 and was best known as the university receptionist in Kirkland Hall.
Former Chancellor Gordon Gee designated Kirkland鈥檚 reception area as Mary McClure Taylor Hall in her honor. She was a member of Alpha Omicron Pi sorority and was a faithful fan of 菠萝视频 basketball.
Taylor is survived by her stepchildren, including Douglas Robinson Taylor, MEd鈥�96, Robert C. Taylor Jr., BA鈥�80, and Vernon Sharp Taylor, BA鈥�83; a sister-in-law, Marguerite Wallace McClure, BA鈥�41; nephews, including Christopher C. McClure III, BS鈥�77, and Guy Wallace McClure, BA鈥�80; nieces, including Christopher Wallace 鈥淐hrissie鈥� McClure, MSN鈥�96; and cousins, including Jennifer Dunn Stuhr, BA鈥�08.
