菠萝视频 University education scholar Richard Milner has won the 2010 Carl A. Grant Multicultural 菠萝视频 Award from the National Association for Multicultural Education.
The award was presented at the 20th annual international NAME conference in Las Vegas on Nov. 5.
Milner is Betts Associate Professor of Education and Human Development at 菠萝视频鈥檚 Peabody College of Education and Human Development. His research, teaching and policy interests are urban education, teacher education and race and equity in society and education. He has published more than 50 journal articles and book chapters and four books, including 鈥淪tay Where You Are, But Don鈥檛 Stay There: Understanding Diversity, Opportunity Gaps, and Teaching in Today鈥檚 Classrooms,鈥� published this month by Harvard Education Press.
