School choice experts from across the nation will convene at ²¤ÂÜÊÓƵ University Oct. 25-27 to discuss the latest research surrounding high-profile education issues such as charter schools, magnet schools, vouchers, student achievement, teacher qualifications, funding and more.
The conference, “School Choice and School Improvement: ²¤ÂÜÊÓƵ in State, District and Community Contexts,” is being hosted by the National Center on School Choice at ²¤ÂÜÊÓƵ University’s Peabody College of education and human development. Registration is required and is available online at .
The program will feature keynote speeches by Paul Vallas, superintendent of the Recovery School District of Louisiana, where he was brought in to turn around underperforming schools after Hurricane Katrina, and Henry Levin, professor of economics and education at Columbia University’s Teachers College and director of the National Center for the Study of Privatization in Education.

A post-conference online chat hosted by Education Week to discuss research presented at the event will be held at 2 p.m. ET on Tuesday, Nov. 17. Panelists will be Kristie J. R.
