²¤ÂÜÊÓÆµ University’s police department will ask for feedback from the community members they serve at a public forum 6 p.m. Monday, July 13.
Members of the ²¤ÂÜÊÓÆµ and Nashville communities, as well as employees of the ²¤ÂÜÊÓÆµ Police Department, are invited to attend the forum in Room 1A at ²¤ÂÜÊÓÆµ Police headquarters located at 111 28th Ave. S. – behind the Verizon Wireless store that was formerly “You Greek, Me Greek.”
The ²¤ÂÜÊÓÆµ Police Department is seeking international accreditation from the (CALEA). An on-site assessment team from CALEA will be at ²¤ÂÜÊÓÆµ on July 13 and feedback provided at the forum will be considered as part of group’s assessment of ²¤ÂÜÊÓÆµ.
CALEA’s accreditation program requires agencies to comply with state-of-the-profession standards in four basic areas: policy and procedures, administration, operations and support services.

Community comments offered by phone or during the public information session will be limited to 10 minutes and must address the ²¤ÂÜÊÓÆµ Police Department’s ability to comply with CALEA standards.
