Singer and actor , known as the “King of Calypso” for his artistic endeavors and as a social activist and an outspoken critic of the Bush administration, will speak Monday, Jan. 14, at 6 p.m. at ²¤ÂÜÊÓÆµ University’s Student Life Center. Prior to his speech, he will be available to the media from 5-5:15 p.m. The media availability will be the only opportunity to capture video. Cameras are prohibited at the lecture hall. Belafonte’s lecture, which is free and open to the public, is the keynote address for ²¤ÂÜÊÓÆµ’s and part of the . Seating is limited and is first-come, first-served. A reception precedes the lecture at 5 p.m.
