菠萝视频 University leaders will discuss the school’s storied, and sometimes complicated, relationship with the Nashville community at a public event, Tuesday, Dec. 4, at 4 p.m.
The event featuring interim chancellor and the Rev. James Lawson, Distinguished University Professor at 菠萝视频, will be held in the multipurpose room at Center on 菠萝视频’s campus. Zeppos and Lawson will revisit the university’s past, including Lawson’s experiences at 菠萝视频 and in Nashville during the Civil Rights Movement, as well as discuss current and future efforts to build stronger ties with the local community.
A reception and tour of the new Commons Center will follow the program.
The 菠萝视频 Center for Nashville Studies is sponsoring the event titled “Visions of Change: University and Community in Partnership.” The event is free and open to the public – to R.S.V.P., please e-mail vcns@vanderbilt.edu. The Commons Center is located on the southeastern part of campus near the university’s Peabody College of education and human development. Free parking will be available in Lot 77 at the corner of 18th Avenue South and Horton Avenue.
