Metro K-12 teachers attending a Sept. 14 workshop sponsored by ²¤ÂÜÊÓÆµ’s can try dancing the tango with instructors from . In addition, the participating teachers will explore the history of the tango and the Latin American culture surrounding the popular dance. The goal is to provide a variety of hands-on, dynamic resources for instructors working with students of a variety of ages and abilities on topics related to Latin America. The Center for Latin American and Iberian Studies has a strong outreach program for local schools and the Nashville community, thanks to a $1.5 million grant from the .
