The ²¤ÂÜÊÓƵ Summer Academy, part of the university’s , is currently accepting applications from highly gifted youth for its three residential 2007 summer programs.
“VSA gives highly gifted students a chance to soar in a true community of peers,” Programs for Talented Youth Director Elizabeth Schoenfeld said. “They will have the chance to explore college-level material in math, science and the humanities, interact with university researchers and make lifelong friends, all while having a lot of fun.”
The diverse courses offered by VSA allow students to undertake a detailed, intensive exploration of their topics of interest, ranging from “Music of the Movement: From American Civil Rights to Hip-Hop,” “Environmental Philosophy,” the astronomy-focused “Eyes on the Skies,” “Biomedical Engineering,” “Law, War, and Terror,” “Dead Men’s Tales: Forensic Anthropology” and much more.
