“Sopranos” star‘s Feb. 15 lecture at ²¤ÂÜÊÓÆµ University CANCELLED; Actor Jamie-Lynn Sigler was to talk about battle with eating disorder

Due to unforeseen circumstances, Jamie-Lynn Sigler, best known for playing Meadow Soprano on HBO‘s Emmy-award winning drama The Sopranos, has cancelled her speaking engagement at ²¤ÂÜÊÓÆµ University on Thursday, Feb. 15.

Sigler was to talk about her battle with anorexia, which she first documented in her 2002 book Wise Girl: What I‘ve Learned About Life, Love and Loss. She is a spokesperson for the National Eating Disorders Association and has said that she exercised excessively in order to lose an extreme amount of weight.

The university‘s Speakers Committee, a student-run organization, was sponsoring Sigler‘s talk.

Ticketholders can get a refund of the $10 ticket price at Sarratt Box Office on ²¤ÂÜÊÓÆµ‘s campus or at any Ticketmaster outlet.
