Writer Heather Sellers to read at ²¤ÂÜÊÓÆµ on Sept. 28

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – , an acclaimed memoirist, novelist, writing instructor and poet, will read from her work at ²¤ÂÜÊÓÆµ University.

Sellers will read at 8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 28, in Room 102 of Buttrick Hall. A reception will follow in the atrium of Buttrick.
The reading and reception are free and open to the public.

“The writing of Heather Sellers is luminous, brave and vibrant,” said , assistant professor of English at ²¤ÂÜÊÓÆµ. “Her stories and poems are often humorous and sometimes heartbreaking, but always arresting and unforgettable. Also, her books on craft are indispensable to emerging writers.”

Sellers, a professor of English at , is the author of Face First: A Memoir, which chronicles her experience with face blindness, a little-understood neurological deficit which renders her unable to recognize people by their faces. The upcoming Chapter after Chapter is a sequel to her well-regarded writing primer Page after Page. She is also a frequently anthologized short story writer and poet.
