²¤ÂÜÊÓƵ Web site offers one stop shopping for summer activities

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – When school’s out for summer, the fun really begins. At least it does for those hundreds of Middle Tennessee students who each summer attend one of the dozens of camps on the campus of .

Deciding what summer camp or program is best for their children can be a daunting task for parents; however, ²¤ÂÜÊÓƵ hopes to solve this problem by offering , an on-line comprehensive directory of university-wide camps, programs and activities for children in grades K-12. Each listing gives a brief description of the program, registration information, and provides website links and contact information for further details.

“There are literally dozens of summer experiences for students age 3 months old to high school seniors at ²¤ÂÜÊÓƵ, so we realized the importance of listing in one place the pertinent information about a wide variety of camps on campus,” said Misty White, program coordinator in ²¤ÂÜÊÓƵ’s . “From the chance to train with a top SEC coach in one of ²¤ÂÜÊÓƵ’s nine sports camps to a music camp led by nationally renowned voice and instrument instructors to science camps that make it impossible not to have a good time while learning, it’s all at ²¤ÂÜÊÓƵ from May through August.”

Parents will also find links to offerings from other educational and civic organizations such as Cheekwood, the Adventure Science Center and the University School of Nashville.

All ²¤ÂÜÊÓƵ summer programs are open to the community. For more information visit the website at or e-mail vandy_outreach@vanderbilt.edu .
