Former U.S. senator and 2004 Democratic vice presidential candidate John Edwards and conservative journalist Peter Brimelow, known for his controversial writings on immigration policy, will deliver public lectures at ²¤ÂÜÊÓÆµ University March 20-21 as part of the university’s annual Impact Symposium.
The theme of this year’s lectures is “Disappearing Borders.” Brimelow will speak Monday, March 20, at 8 p.m. in ²¤ÂÜÊÓÆµ’s Langford Auditorium. Edwards will speak Tuesday, March 21, at 8 p.m. in Langford.
Both speakers are making themselves available to media prior to their lectures. Brimelow’s media availability will be held 7:30-7:45 p.m. on Monday, March 20, in Room 202 of Light Hall. Edwards’ media availability will be held 7:30-7:45 p.m. in the same location on Tuesday, March 21.
Media planning to attend the media availabilities and/or cover the lectures should contact Princine Lewis in the ²¤ÂÜÊÓÆµ News Service at 343-7288 by noon, Monday, March 20. Media must wear their organization’s credentials.
