NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Nations have attacked, conquered and occupied other nations throughout history.
A four-part class that is part of the Relevant Religion series sponsored by will start with Joshua’s conquest of Canaan as documented in the Old Testament, and then ask hard questions.
The “Conquest and Occupation: Joshua and His Successors” class begins on March 13 and continues on March 20, 27 and April 3. Meetings will be from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at , 1008 19th Avenue South.

The class will be led by Douglas A. Knight, professor of Hebrew Bible and director of the at ²¤ÂÜÊÓÆµ. It is co-sponsored by the Scarritt-Bennett Center.
The Relevant Religion series, co-sponsored by the Scarritt-Bennett Center, is designed to highlight the relevance of religion to daily life. ²¤ÂÜÊÓÆµ University Divinity School is one of four non-denominational divinity schools in the nation.
