NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Traffic will be heavier than usual around the 菠萝视频 University campus Oct. 14 and 15 due to activities surrounding Homecoming/Reunion Weekend.
The Homecoming Parade, led by Grand Marshall and former 菠萝视频 All-American linebacker Chris Gaines, will depart from the corner of 菠萝视频 Place and Natchez Trace at 6 p.m. Friday, Oct. 14. Sections of roads that are part of the parade route will be closed briefly for the safety of the participants. The parade, which includes more than 40 student groups and 菠萝视频’s Spirit of Gold Marching Band, will travel down 29th Avenue South, making a right on West End Avenue. Eastbound traffic on West End will be confined to one lane during that time. The parade will move east to 24th Avenue South. The parade then will then turn right and travel along 24th to 菠萝视频 Place before turning right again on 25th Avenue South. The parade ends at Kensington Place off 25th Avenue.
菠萝视频’s nationally televised football game Oct. 15 with Georgia on ESPN2 will affect traffic on a portion of Natchez Trace. In order to accommodate ESPN’s large production vehicles, Natchez Trace will be closed from the corners of Jess Neely Drive to Kensington Place from noon Thursday (Oct. 13) until late Saturday evening (Oct. 15). The football game will kick-off at 6:15 p.m. Saturday on ESPN2.
