All members of the Middle Tennessee arts community are invited to a town hall meeting at ²¤ÂÜÊÓÆµ University at 7 p.m. Monday, Sept. 19, to hear details of a major collaborative art project involving ²¤ÂÜÊÓÆµ students and local artists.
The meeting will be at Sarratt Cinema on the ²¤ÂÜÊÓÆµ campus. It will be led by Judy Chicago and Donald Woodman, who will be the first Chancellor’s Artists in Residence for the spring semester.
“Donald and I are very eager to bring students and practicing artists from the community together,” Chicago said. “We’re hoping that the ²¤ÂÜÊÓÆµ community and the wider Nashville community will come to the town hall meeting to hear our plans.”
Chicago is a world-renowned artist and pioneering educator who is one of the founders of the feminist art movement. Woodman is an acclaimed commercial and fine art photographer and teacher.
