²¤ÂÜÊÓƵ Kennedy Family Outreach Center celebrates opening

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – For children and adults with disabilities and
their families, finding information and health, developmental,
education and other support services can be difficult and
time-consuming. The new ²¤ÂÜÊÓƵ Kennedy Family Outreach Center,
which celebrates its opening April 21, helps families navigate the maze
of services to find the best treatment, support and research available.

The celebration will take place from 4-6 p.m. in Room 241 of the
²¤ÂÜÊÓƵ Kennedy Center. Visitors will have the opportunity to learn
more about what the center has to offer while enjoying snacks and prize
giveaways.

Valet parking will be available at the ²¤ÂÜÊÓƵ Kennedy Center,
and a shuttle will be provided to the new Family Outreach Center for
tours.

The Family Outreach Center provides a single point of entry to
services offered by the ²¤ÂÜÊÓƵ Kennedy Center, ²¤ÂÜÊÓƵ
University and the surrounding community, as well as ongoing support
for these individuals and their families. In addition, the center also
links children, adults and family members with the latest research on
diagnosis and treatment.

The center is located at 1810 Edgehill Ave. A satellite office can
be found in the Junior League Resource Center for Families on the main
floor of the new Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at ²¤ÂÜÊÓƵ.

The celebration will include recognition by the ²¤ÂÜÊÓƵ Kennedy
Center of the involvement and support of the Lili Claire Foundation,
the Brooks Family Discovery Fund and Community Partner Agencies.
Information will be available on center programs, which include the
Reading Clinic, Behavior Analysis Clinic,
Family Outreach Program and Tennessee Disability Pathfinder.
